As Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety at the University of Massachusetts Boston, Dr. Stacey Y. Lloyd, Ph.D. led in complex stakeholder environments—balancing safety, trust, and performance while developing leaders across ranks.

After 22 years as one of the few African American female officers in the New Jersey State Police, Dr. Stacey Y. Lloyd, Ph.D. witnessed how the absence of Emotional Intelligence can destroy careers, damage communities, and cost lives. She saw talented people lose opportunities because they could not manage pressure, communicate with respect, or lead with accountability.
That reality—combined with her Ph.D. research, teaching, and personal journey from the streets of Newark to the highest levels of law enforcement leadership—became the foundation of Goldmind Consultant LLC. Today, Dr. Stacey Y. Lloyd, Ph.D. serves as Founder & Principal Consultant, Goldmind Consultant LLC, helping leaders transform how they think, communicate, and lead under pressure.
