Dr. STACEY LLOYD

Stacey Lloyd was born in Newark, New Jersey during a time when crime was at an all-time high. At the tender age of 12, living in an environment that offered little hope, Stacey believed she would become a person who would be involved in bettering the lives of others. One by one, she seized opportunities always operating with deliberate intent and purpose in mind.
Stacey went from graduating from Malcolm X Shabazz High School in to obtaining her Ph.D., in Philosophy from Carolina University, (formally, Piedmont International University) and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.

Her research focused on Emotional Intelligence, Law Enforcement, and Leadership. In addition to holding multiple degrees, Stacey is also an IPEC (Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching) certified Life Coach. IPEC is the standard bearer for Life Coach certification. Despite her full schedule, Stacey serves as an adjunct professor at Howard University where she teaches Race, Gender, Class in the Criminal Justice System and Juvenile Justice. She retired from the New Jersey State Police as a Captain and is the newly appointed Chief of the University of Massachusetts. She also serves as the Sergeant-at-Arms for NOBLE and the President of the National Black Trooper Associations both are New Jersey Chapters.

Just as she imagined at 12 years old, Stacey Lloyd’s life has become one distinguished by service to others.  As an Army Veteran, Life and Career Coach, retired New Jersey State Trooper and Chief of Police for UMASS Boston, Stacey has given selflessly of herself.  Having over 20 years of service as a New Jersey State Trooper, Stacey has worked tirelessly in various capacities including but not limited to a Road Duty Trooper, Victim Services Unit, Promotional Systems, Professional Development, Crisis Intervention and Recruitment to name a few. Her greatest satisfaction is mentoring future police officers and bridging the gap between members of the community and law enforcement officers.

Stacey is the President and Founder of Goldmind Consultants LLC, a company started with the sole purpose of assisting people in achieving brain, mind, and body synergy and understanding that simply changing your thinking can change your life.  She is the Author of “I Can Do It”, a book which chronicles the tragedies and triumphs in her life and “Arrested by Our Mind, A Pathway to Emotional Intelligence for Law Enforcement Officers and her most recent Children’s Book Chris J’s Magnificent Mind short stories teaching children the power of positive emotions.  Her favorite motto is: Changing the World One Conversation at a Time.
