Dr. Stacey Lloyd is a distinguished professional with over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, academia, and coaching. She is currently the Chief of Police at the University of Massachusetts Boston and serves as an adjunct professor at Howard University. Dr. Lloyd holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is also an IPEC-certified Life Coach.
Dr. Lloyd’s research primarily centers on Emotional Intelligence (EI), Law Enforcement, and Leadership. Her work aims to explore the correlation between EI and leadership effectiveness, especially among law enforcement officers and individuals in high-stress occupations.
Dr. Lloyd serves as the Chief of Police at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she oversees campus safety and law enforcement. She also teaches courses on Criminal Justice at Howard University, including subjects such as Race, Gender, and Class in the Criminal Justice System, and Juvenile Justice. Additionally, she is the Sergeant-at-Arms for NOBLE and the President of the National Black Trooper Associations for New Jersey.

- EI (Emotional Intelligence) refers to the ability to identify, understand, and manage one's own emotions and the emotions of others. EI is often a better predictor of success in leadership and interpersonal relationships than IQ.
Dr. Lloyd’s training programs aim to enhance Emotional Intelligence among individuals in high-stress professions, such as law enforcement. The programs focus on reducing stress, improving decision-making, and enhancing overall health and wellness.
